How it works
When you write a message, we encrypt it and hand you back a single secret link. The decryption key exists only inside that link -- we never store it anywhere on our end, so we have no way to read your message ourselves. Opening the link shows a warning before anything is revealed, since revealing it immediately and permanently deletes the message. If nobody ever opens the link, it's automatically deleted after 30 days. We also automatically block repeated guessing at a link from the same address.
Worked example
Say you want to share a temporary password with a colleague. Type it into the box above and click "Create Secret Link" -- you'll get a link like https://readandburn.tolvido.com/msg/4k9p2xqz7h3wdmnc82fa9. Send that link over chat or email. The moment your colleague clicks it and confirms they want to reveal it, the message is shown once and permanently deleted -- if they (or anyone else) try the same link again, it will say the message no longer exists.
